But well worth the effort, excellent photo. Interesting to me the code line appears to be out of service with the wires hanging to the ground..

Getting wet was certainly worth it for this photograph!

As a good friend once said, you know you have had a good day railfanning when you have to dry out your camera at the end of the day. What an excellent shot, I love the dramatic background.

Definateley well worth it Steve as you have a superb composition here, the A2 is not one of my favourite engines but here framed by the glowering sky above and the wheat below it looks really good, and lets face it as rail photographers we need a good soaking occasionally to remind us to appreciate those glorious days when the smoke is in the perfect position and the light falls just where you want it

You sure do take some beautiful shots. Not a fan of non-North American trains, but I really like your stuff.

Beautiful shot. I agree with Matt, sometimes you just gotta suffer for your art. The war stories about what people had to go through to get a good picture are almost as good as the picture itself.Keep the Faith, dude!

I'm not even a huge fan of steam tourist trains, but my PCA voting page has been full of your photos. Great use of both the ambient weather and the foreground here!
