The diesels in the center are not "Babyface" Baldwins, they are pre-war built, Alco-GE DL109, 2000 h.p., twin-engined, dual-service locomotives, of which the New Haven owned 60 examples. In it's history, the NYNH&H had only two Baldwin diesels, the twin power units built specifically for it's "Train-X," a Pullman-Standard built, low-slung, articulated lightweight streamliner. Please keep this historic stuff coming, John!

Here we go, another actually. The most prominent units in this shot are Fairbanks Morse CPA 24-5s. May be number 798 or 799. The DL 109 is in the background. Excellent shot of rare New Haven units. Thank you for all of these images, John.
