Awesome vantage point. Perhaps you could share the story behind the shot in the trip reports forum?PCA from me.

It's tough to beat the raw, scenic, in-your-face rugged beauty of the Moffat. Nicely done! I bagged this very train in South Boulder Canyon at Tunnel 27; but you had much more elevation!

Incredible. Now THIS is what railroad photography is all about for me.

The depth in this photo makes me dizzy! I had to put my hand behind me LCD screen to make sure I wasn't tripping because it looked 3D!

Caroline, This is a stunning photograph from a wonderful vantage point. It's the sort of place where you could just sit all day watching the trains roll by (taking the occasional photograph perhaps!).

Great shot ! How long and hard a hike was that? You're on the other side of the Colorado River from the rails; this looks like the area I'm hoping to get to (but don't know where to get in). The picture was obviously worth it- thanks.

I don't think I have seen a better picture of scenery, let a lone of a train, so far this year.

It's hard to get great snow back in there. I hiked in on the other side back in '77 during a 6" snow and most of it melted off the rock surfaces once the sun came out. Sugarloaf Mountain still looked OK when the 1 eastbound coal finally showed up. Nice snap! Looks like you hiked in a little from the road on that side around Inspiration Point area.
