The worst imaginable thing Amtrak has ever done to its aging locomotive fleet. Personally, I think the F40PH would be better off if it were sold to another railroad, put on display or even scrapped. I get chills up my spine everytime I see one these cabbages.

It saves taxpayer money when you recycle an old locomotive rather than buy new locomotives or cabcars. Not sure what you're complaining about - I'd prefer to see "F40s" still in service rather than in my razor.
