Both units 2 and 6 were rebuilt from SDP35s. With the steam genertator removed, the extended long hood was shortened to accommodate stepwells at the rear, instead of the vertical ladders that were provided as built. Also note the four-stack "liberated exhaust," made possible by the removal of the dynamic braking, and the paper air filter added in place of the turbo exhaust stack.
