Actually, the head-end power sets added to those RS18s were for CN's Tempo trains, which were Hawker-Siddley built, intercity cars. The specially modified MLW locomotives were eventually replaced by baggage-power cars, so that any CN locomotive could be used for those trains, but on occasions, they was leased by GOTransit during power shortages. Many of those Tempo cars comprise the Rio Grande Ski Train today.
