Wonderful picture Georg. I could sit on this hillside all day long watching trains below and admiring scene above.

E-locs = 8500 horsepower each? I didn't know that. I have always loved these Wassen pictures ever since I bought a picture book by S. Kip Farrington of railroads around the world. It included several pictures of the same train taken at three levels with that church in all three pictures. Thanks for continuing the legacy.

To Pete Reynolds: Yes, the Re 4/4 II has 6320 HP, the six axle Re 6/6 10600 HP. The Re 6/6, built from 1972/1975 is still one of the most powerful, non articulated, locomotive. The consist in the picture, also known as "Re 10/10", pulls a train of 1400 tonnes with 75 km/h up the 2.6 % grade. Sincerely Georg
