Absolutely amazing! My favorite that I've seen from the weekend so far and to think I was standing right there and I missed it. Glad someone was able to get it and do it right. Makes me feel like I'm listening to the bustle of passengers, faint hissing of steam, and some record playing in a back room.

"Who'd have thought that many minutes later, editor Steve Barry would take the chair and flip through the very magazine that was the precursor to Railroad and Railfan." Who ? - Probably Steve himself, and certainly Jim Boyd & Hal Carstens.

Mitch, if this isn't recognized as one of the best shots on RP to date, I'll eat my foot! Amazing shot.

Another beautiful shot, Mitch! I absolutely love the composition here (reminds me a bit of Ted Benson's stuff). Keep it coming!

Superb Mitch, absolutely superb. More than a touch of the late great O.W.L. here I think.

Mitch - A great bit of irony might have been if you had shot this a second time and substituted a copy of Link's "Steel, Steam & Stars" for the "Railroad" magazine. Perhaps having Mulder & Scully waiting to board on the platform would have been a nice touch too.

Have to agree with Andrew, my favorite picture from the weekend. And what I particularly appreciate is how you handled the depth of field and potential lens distortion. It really is a classic shot well executed.

Beautiful Shot Mitch and great framing. This definitely has a Winston Link feel to it.

Definitely in the Winston Link mould - well seen and beautifully executed.

Mitch, I'm glad someone got this shot. My lens fogged up as soon as I came inside and it never did clear! Awesome composition!

Another great shot in a memorable series! I like the tones in this one.

Superb. Well done to put the engine in the lower window, lamp in the upper window, both in their respective lower half frames. Complementary wood grain in the desk, wall, and window frame a bonus.

While I won't eat my foot, I do agree with Kyle and others than this is a fantastic shot. I thought someone said there was never anything to shoot in Michigan!
