Until I saw this photo, I was unaware that there were any ex-CN Tempo cars operating anywhere except on the Rio Grande Ski Train. Outside of special-order and demonstrator train sets, such as the Pennsy's Budd-built Keystone and ultra-lightweights like the ACF Talgo, Pullman-Standard Train-X and GM's Aerotrain, the Hawker-Siddley built Tempo cars were the first fleet of intercity cars built to utilize head-end power, for heat, a.c and lights, from the locomotive. Thanks for the revelation Jean-Francois!
