I think they still use it as a "Shoving Platform" don't they? I was up in Lompoc last, near the end of 2002, when it was sitting elsewhere in town. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, they use it for reverse moves to Celite, the diatomaceous earth plant in the back hills of Lompoc. "SP White Hills Branch." 01482 has been here for almost 10 years now.

Wierd, NscaleMike I lived in a apartment in Lompoc right next to the tracks on D Street. I took video and snap some pictures from my back yard. I remember about every Tuesday morning an old SP or Cotton Belt engine would rumble by. Oh I do remember late 2002 to 2004, connected to the caboose were two stainless steel baggage cars.
