This seems to be normal now with work trains, having trucks pull them instead of a locomotive. Must have something to do with saving fuel would be my guess.

Its cheaper in other ways too. They dont have to pay an engineer. Any one with a CDL can do this. It rises controversy in the unions as well. This man gets to pull casr with out an engineers card. Most hoggers i know dont like that idea.
