Whats funny about this is that it appears that the SUV is actually legally parked.
Oh, I'm sure they could have found another way to move it...
There is a sign unseen prohibiting parking 8-5pm.
What are the lines for?
Interesting red-on-red vehicle interaction here. I'm almost positive the elongated "no parking" sign on the brick building column states something specific like days/times you can't park because "you'll be hit by a train" or worse.
Doesn't look legal by what the sign on the post says...
Yeah, nice park job. Right in the lines and everything.

This used to happen regularly on the Weymouth Quay line in the UK. The staff who accompanied trains on the line on foot got very adept at bouncing vehicles out of the way

Sadly, I have to report that the wrecking balls have already started to move in on the Peerless Candy Factory, which shut down last April because price competition and the value of their property made their business prospects pretty dreary. I was holding out hope for something to rejuvenate this branch, but I think this old historic Milwaukee Road street line is now just a memory.

Really neat shot there Mike, but just a mental note... the last run to Peerless was made on March 8, 2007 to pick up an empty tank car spotted at the Candy Co. My shots can be found on this site somewhere...
