Thanks Sid, I like how even in Family Line colors the units still have yellow number boards, only the Clinchfield.

This Clinchfield GP11 rebuild was one outsourced to the ICG shop at Paducah, KY, and is betrayed by the shortened nose (to accomodate a new electrical cabinet behind the cab,) spartan cab and the primary air filtration system, which is mounted atop the hood behind the forward radiator section. Family Lines' own Geep rebuild progam, with units dubbed Uceta Geeps, because of the shop that did the work, followed, and encompassed core units from most of the Family Lines component roads. But I believe all were 1600 h.p., as a rerating to 2000 h.p. would entail reboring the cylinders and a host other modifications to the 567 engines, to accept 645 power assemblies.

I think IC's GP-11s were rated at 1850, notice the IC builder plate.

The "Family Lines" always tended to do things on the cheap. I have an official roster from the time showing the HP to be the same as the GP-16s.
