That forward F-unit is an FP7 acquired, pre-merger, from the C&O, as B&O never bought that model new. The 4-foot length difference, that characterizes the FP7, can be seen when one compares the roof to the F7 directly behind it, and notes the extra space between the single dynamic brake fan and the four engine cooling fans. Nice study, Don.
