Great shot Christopher. I always wondered what the poor engineer saw out that tiny slot of a windshield. I have been driving an 18 wheeler for over 37 years, and it reminds me of driving my Freightliner cab-over in the early 80's. Its like looking out a slot. I hated it. Thanks for sharing. Jack

The view is not that bad. The engineer's and assistant engineer's seats are closer to the window, making for better visibility. If someting is not in view, it is too late to react too anyway.

The front of the loco is so flat it almost looks like a cabover anyway. Nice shot. I like in-cab shots, and this one has a story to tell as well.
