This brings back some memories: for many years I commuted on these units on a daily basis. The 'Clacton' units were superb right to the end but looked best before the distinctive 'wrap-round' cab windows were replaced in the 1980s. The 310s and 312s could be very drafty if you had to sit near the doors and thye aim was always to get into one of the 'inner' seating bays. Nice shot - thanks for the nostalgia!
