This is a neat photo for me. I work in the renovated old warehouse row from about where this photo was taken. The truss bridge was removed for the summer and is now just reopened as the M. L. King memorial pedestrian (railfan) bridge. The Roanoke Railwalk goes along this side of the tracks to the Transportation Museum. It is a great town from which to base a week of train chasing.
