A lot of local industries have sidings today, and many that had them but aren't using them are starting to reopen them.

It is a great shot by the way of a now almost gone locomtive. A lot of transload facilities are popping up too, a HUGE one on the BNSF just opened in Fontana in SoCal.

I remember as a kid coming back from the Natick Mall with my family we would be stopped for those moves. Back then in the 1960s you couldn't get through Framingham most times without getting stopped by a train. Bishop Street was automated around 1970. I Love this capture, Don!
