Nice shot! Remarkable that SOU in 1972 still had enough surplus stainless steel cars to cover this run as well as its regular schedules.

I recall as a young child in Kindergarten about this time taking a school trip from Greenville to Spartanburg on what I'm guessing was one of these types of runs. We even got the SR Junior Railroader badge, though I seem to have misplaced it since then.
