Hi Mike, That's actually the horn crossing sequencer pedal. Press it once, and it sends electric signals to the horn solenoids for the horn to sound the long long short long (FRA 14-L) crossing sequence without the engineer actually physically having to do so on the button. This is continual, until the pedal is pressed again, shutting off air to the horn. -- Nick O'Dell
