Very cool picture - it must have made a hell of a noise! But are the couplers disconnected before discharching?

The cars a specially modified with rotary couplers on one end that rotate as the car rotates. Dan, Nice Catch, Do you work there? I have always wanted to see one of these in action they are really cool!
