That's a MU(multiple unit) cable. It plugs into the trailing unit so the engineer can control from the lead unit.

Nice lighting Janusz. This loco also happens to be one of at least a half dozen "NASCAR edition" CSX big 6's, if you check out the scribble on the center of the anticlimber.
