This photo is almost identical to Peter Reading's 202778. I take it the two of you were hanging-out together, or was it just coincidence? I was over there in May and Gladstone is one of the most fascinating railway towns I have ever visited, although it's not easy to get good shots because of the wires. I had a shot lined-up of the tilt train coming round the curve at Aukland Street, but my camera decided to refocus at precisely the wrong moment...typical!

He followed me there ... ! Only joking - Peter and I took a road trip to Gladstone to photograph the new 4100 Class on the Moura Coal System. Some of the photos we took will accompany my article on the locomotives that I am writing for Railway Digest.
