Never scene KCS power in this scheme. Were these units acquired from the Illinois Central?

This was the original switcher/road switcher paint scheme. It was replaced by Deramus Red (one GP7 got red) and then solid white. Passenger power was in black/yellow/red and freight carbodies were delivered in reverse passenger colors which eventually was replaced with red/blonde and then solid red (beginning with GP30s).
