Didnt the Rock Island shut down in March 1980?

You are correct. The Rock Island shut down 3-31-1980. I have photos of a clean-up train (with RI engines) gathering cars in Oklahoma in December 1980 as well as Silvis dead lines in April 1981.

Nice view Paul, I was at this location less than a month ago, the Rock tri-lighter still stands but the track here is in the weeds. None of the buildings still stand here.
