Fantastic Photo! Pittsburgh is one of my favorite places to go. Excellent timing, excellent everything!

John, I don't think this picture can possibly be improved upon! Perfect light, composition and yes, timing!

Yeah, excellent timing! In the right place at the right time. Nice exposure too.

Super timing, and I love how the breaks in the clouds light up downtown and the yellow bridges but leave the background hills in shade. Terrific.

Well theres a POTW if I ever saw one. Can't beat the timing, colors, or composition. You have my PCA vote.

Cool Shot John. This is a very nice vantage point. A photo from here and you can look at it for minutes and still not see everything that is in it. Good job of finding this shot. PCA vote.

I think that's about as close to a perfect shot as you'll find.

Holy cow, John! What a wonderful shot you have here! The framing is excellent and there's so much to look at! You have more patience than some, certainly more than me! -- Joe H.

I've been to the exact spot where you took this photo from, only the weather never broke for me. Excellent job! This is one of the best skyline and selective train shots I've ever seen. Please don't stop.

Just noticed that all of the bridges are yellow. Anyone know why? Excellent composition, eye-popping colors.

Excellent shot John. Great vantage point of the incline RR, CSX, the rivers, downtown, everything. Matthew, could be one of two reasons for the yellow bridges (delivering in Pittsburgh for 3 years, I've heard both), think of the primary color of all of Pittsburgh's pro teams (Steelers, Pirates and Penguins), or, safety.

One of the best pictures of ANY type I have seen. This is a great tribute to a city that was once maligned as being "dirty." Have never been there, but after seeing this picture, will try to get to Pittsburgh.

I recently saw this photo on the front page of the Travel section of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune! Congratulations!

Amazing shot John! Also, Do you think Pittsburg could build anymore bridges?

I think we have ourselves a Postcard!

I grew up in Pittsburgh, town called Murrsyville, just a little east. Looking for any updates on the "Turtle Creek Railroad". Is it still viable, or now defunct?
