I viewed this shot the first time a while back and knew I'd seen it in print somewhere before but could never place it. Just yesterday I ran across it by accident when I was unpacking a box of books and happened to leaf through "The Spirit of Railroading." My parents gave me that book for Christmas when I was 13 and I probably read through it dozens of times, so it's no wonder this image stuck in my head. It's still near the top of my list of favorite railroad photography collections in print. The photographs taken by the folks in that book were a big inspiration for my own early attempts at this hobby, so thanks for the inspiration George, both then and now!
