It's not often that the clag is OTT but it is a bit here. I wonder of the boys had seen steam before?

There goes the fire! Luckily it's mostly downhill from here to Creighton.
Nasty piece of the river right below the thickest part of the clag - came out of a boat on that rapid last year, and saw my butt. The railway's lovely, though, innit?

Richard, Too bad you used up all the smoke last year! This year with the 19D we didn't have any! I mean zero, the fire was solid clinker from the bad coal delivered that morning. Still, it's a lovely line!
