Nice photo! Those signals were erected by N&W around 1981 when Traffic Control was installed between Bellevue and Colby. NKP had 3-light ground mast signals in that area. They are the same US&S R2 style, however, that NKP used. One of the westbound heads has been changed to a Safetrans style, when the line west of Colby was single-tracked around 1989.
