Hello, British Air, I'd like to bock a flight to Reculée des Planches in Arbois, France! (I don't fly AirFrance!). Excellent capture and fantastic location, Olivier!!

Hi Olivier! I've just uploaded a picture that I took in 1989 at that very location. And it gave me the idea to search RPN, looking for other pictures in that area. This is how I discovered your picture and the comment that comes with it. Sorry, I am more than 2 years late for thanking you... Coming back to discovering this photo location, I don't know whether it was me who was the first to get there. It does not matter so much. In the early 1980's - before the TGV era - I loved the Jura line (Mouchard - Vallorbe) and I went there quite often. Having pictured almost all locations, I wanted to explore the most inaccessible part of the line between Mesnay-Arbois and Pont d'Hery. I had to walk through a series of tunnels to get there (I discovered later with Jean-Louis Poggi that there is another access from the hill above the tunnel that can be seen on your picture). Indeed, it is the most spectacular part of the line. I am glad that you kept going there. I hope that the line will see more trafic and diversity in the future.
