In answer to nscalemike's question, basically all of them were western fans. You would occasionally run into a Chinese "fan" (including at least one excellent photographer I can remember), and a few Japanese fans, but the great bulk of the folks chasing steam on the JiTong came from Europe (especially the U.K.), New Zealand, and Australia, with a scattering of Americans and Canadians.
