Irony. Conrail retained two main tracks that existed under LV at the time, when little priority traffic used the Lehigh Line. Then, when they started to shift the hot MAIL and TV trains (along with most other symbol freights) from the NE Corridor to the Reading/Lehigh Valley route between Harrisburg and northern NJ (as well as moving trains coming from the southeast, like the Tropicana Juice train and the Orange Blossom Special pig trains to the former Reading Trenton line and Lehigh line via Port Reading, NJ), they ripped up the second main from Potter (Edison) to Port Reading Jct.!
