Wonderful shot Mike! Very nice background and subject. Questions: Do the remants of this line run past the Ballard locks? Is that part of the line still in service?

I like it. PCA =) Just for the record, the government is using this program to preserve Railroad ROW for preservation into the future when the trail can be torn up and be put back into use as a railway as the need for railroads and trains increases dramatically. But I don't see why you need to tear them up for bike trails when they are still in active use.

I could be wrong but that looks like a EMD SW1 not an Alco S1.

Busy busy shot! I'm never lucky enough to be in Ballard when the BDTL is running, so I'm happy to see pictures here taken by others. Thanks for sharing!
