Actually, The crews in Sault Ste Marie ended up using the Canac remote control system that was installed on several SW1500's. I taught the class up in Sault Ste. Marie in the shop building. These cabooses are equip with the Vectran system which we used mainly in Escanaba, MI. I also taught that class. They use them on the dumper job in Escanaba. They use the Canac system in the yard at Gladstone.

This caboose is now "forever" in Manitowoc, WI. The Remote Control slogan is gone, the headlights, ditch lights along with the horn that was installed are gone as well. It gets used 3 times a week for backup moves to another industry a few miles north of Manitowoc, but still looks great!
