Wow! What a catch! Wonder how that Surfliner power got on the Empire Builder? Also, I've never noticed before, but the blue of the Surfliner really kind of matches up with the Phase V paint well.

Here in Wisconsin I heard the CP dispatch telling someone that #8 was running very late yesterday...I bet the 455 was a rescue engine...

That is an odd find. I've never seen anything besides P42's on the Builder in the last 5 years. If AMTK 455 was the rescue, its still rather out of place in Minnesota, unless it came up on California Zephyr.

The 455 has spent several months working on the Cascades out of Seattle. Given the severe power shortage in the PNW recently I'm not surprised to see this.
