Thanks guys for the comments! The headend came to a stop right where we were so we drove the CSX conductor up to the crash. CSX Police were great and took my buddies video footage, copied it and returned his tape. Yes as a railroader myself there are stupid people out there...

Well, the village gets to keep their idiot! The NS Harrisburg Line has had a staggering season with 5 deaths since November. When will they ever learn? BTW, you wouldn't happen to have video for us to see, would you?

Thanks to Joe, I have posted a short video of the van being hit. Watch and listen carefully for the accident in the distance just as the locomotive appears. Close-ups follow once the train come to a stop.
