Great catch Dave, and well worth your efforts! It appears that the Ski Train equipment was painted in the "Anschutz Orange" version of Rio Grande gold.

nice work, this, i belive is the best POTW in a good month or so. I really love the composition. I think everyone can agree that this photo is one of the top winter time shots. And that UP unit almost looks like it was designed for the ski train. Excellent work dave, way to go.

I can't be left off the comment list ... Dave, fantastic photo! I'm a little jealous, but glad someone tromped through the snow to get a nice, unique, first snap of this arrangement. Very well done.

Dave - Well done! Have you thawed out yet?!? I understand the Ski Train was delayed that day and you waited almost two hours to nail this gem. Bitter cold and windy that day. The late train helped with the low winter light shadows. I heard the Ski Train arrived Winter Park Ski Resort about 12:45 PM - way past the scheduled 9:30 AM arrival time. Thanks for sharing. We'll see this on an upcoming UP calendar, won't we?

They should take off the F40's and let the SD70ACe work the train. That lash-up looks a little odd...
