"Alien invasion", that may explain why we are still waiting for the first real snow storm here on the East Coast,;). Nice shot, always neat to use the snow in dashing the color and light around. Keep up the good work, Rich

What a cool shot. I was wondering how the SD80MAC's were doing since the Conrail breakup.

Wonderful atmosphere shot as well as being a geat rail shot too. I the aspect that it could be B&W or color. Artistically top notch.

Thanks, all, for the comments and kind words! And Dick, you are absolutely correct with the point I was trying to go after with the desaturation. I saved threee versions of this shot, a full color, a B&W, and this one. I didn't like the reddish tint in the color but I wanted to keep the yellow handrails and some of the red yard lights. This one was a perfect fit! Thanks again, everyone.

Very, very well done, technically and compositionally, especially considering the light (night?) situation.

Whoa... AWESOME PICTURE!!! I've never seen an SD80MAC, so you're pretty lucky. By the way, was another train coming on the fourth track?
