The SP 6833 is the former SSW 9389, Cotton Belt's Bicentennial locomotive. That Cotton Belt locomotive was rebuilt in SP's GRIP program in 1988. SP 6833 did not exist in July 1985.

GRIP date for the 6833 is March 1988 and it was destroyed on March 24, 1991 in the Cody, Kansas wreck. It only existed for three years. Data from Steve Sloan's photo website.
