3rd car from the end, is that a ATSF Hi-Level Coach? It doesn't look like the Pacific Parlour Car and yet the windows are smaller than on any of the Superliners. Great photo!

Looks like it 4216. This is a great picture! Try submitting this to Amtrak's calender contest! PCA ;)

Thanks for the comments. As for that 3rd to last car, I didn't think it was an ex-ATSF car but I'm not sure. I had thought that all of the ex-ATSF Hi-Level Coaches had been retired.

great shot Bill! Hey, nice framing of the whole train in the shot. Nope, no ex-ATSF Hi-Levels on this specific Starlight consist but IIRC there are some of these ex-ATSF Hi-Level phase IV painted coaches still in service...

Great Picture! As for that wierd coach I think it's just a trick of the photography angle, but it's most likely just a regular Superliner... However just for the record Amtrak DOES have a number of ex-hi-levels in its fleet other then the PPCs, and one or two do reside at Redondo last I heard. Thanks for the entire series of shots Bill!
