Did you take these photos back then? I didnt know railfanning existed that long ago! LOL! By the way, amazing quality for such old camera technology.

I've enjoyed this series of photos as well as the earlier set from Chicago. Great images! I'd like to offer a correction. I believe the location of this derailment was the Townley section of Union, NJ. Aside from the placement of industries and utility poles, the smoke stack in the background would appear to belong to Shering Pharmaceuticals which was/is in Union. In this image as well as most others, the camera is facing east on the LV main.
