This is the BIG BOY of the non-USA-world, but I would like to se a real BIG BOY in such a condition.....

Georg, even better than the Big Boy, IMHO. The Big Boy, like most steam locos, dragged along tons of dead weight in the form of the tender. With any Garratt, virtually every ounce of its total mass except for the pilot wheel assemblies is placed directly on the drivers. According to the crew, they managed to get her to slip only once since she was restored, and that was on wet rails. (I too would have loved to see a Big Boy still alive and kicking!)
