Was this End of Train lashup just a "right spot at right time" type thing, or does the Quebec, North Shore & Labrador always have a couple of MOW cars and a Caboose at the end of its Rock Trains?

This is a common sight on the QNS&L MOW trains. This one carries passenger coach #340 which has some crew headquarters. Some of them also had a Jordan spreader coupled after the headend power. Great picture! Reminds me a lot of souvenirs!
