Not meaning to be a nitpicker, just a lil friendly help - this photo is from 1996 for 2 reasons 1) THe 614 had ditch lights (yes god awful abmoninations that they are to this beautiful face) in 1998 and 2) The numberboards are orginal to her C&O heritage in this picture. The boards were replaced with cheap plastic ones in 1997 that had no class to them at all.

This engine made me a railfan again in 1980..saw her for the first time at Keyser, WVa. taking on water. Had not seen a steam loco for over 25 years, and this beauty was just awesome. The following year we rode up Sand Patch behind her. Hope she runs again some day.
