Richard - great photo, nice angle too. These are M1 Assault Bridging Vehicles (ABV) used by the Marine Corps to detonate mine fields and IED's. They are fitted with a cannon that shoots a long primer cord net out over a field, which when activated, will explode or detonate any mines around it to clear a path over the ground. They can also be outfitted with a bulldozer type blade that can also clear mines or IED's.
