When I was a wee lad of 15 (or so), a nice hostler at Pig's Eye allowed me into the cab of this then brand spanking new 60M. I believe it was August of 1991, and that hostler was hanging around in the cab of this unit because at the time it was the only Soo Line locomotive (to his knowledge) that had a cab air conditioner. It was also the first time that I'd seen the new desktop control stand. 6062 was immaculate at the time, but it's understandable how 15 years of rugged service can wear on a cab interior. It might not be aesthetically appealing, but the unit still gets the job done.
