I would have to say that is the best one yet, not to stylized or wild and not to plain either, looks great good catch

Boy, she looks great! Great catch Kevin!

WOW! I love it, looks good with the amount of green/yellow used, and i love the old scheme with the logo in the middle! Good job Kev! Alec

Did I miss all the anticipatory fanfare? I agree, this is the best heritage unit yet.

Great Paint Scheme. Maybe the UP should take one of the patched CNW's and put it in this scheme.

Makes me look forward to the SP Heritage Unit!

Very Catchy Scheme! It reminds me of a bird for some reason, go figure. Great Shot!

I'm so so about this scheme, I think only the D&RGW "heritage" scheme is an improvement on the proper paint scheme for these railroads.

Congrats, Kevin. Awesome shot!

Great looking paint job. How many more heritage units are there to go?
Posted by Mitch Goldman on July 15, 2006
SP is the last, unless UP buys CSX, then they'll be one more.

That is one of the best UP heritage schemes i have seen, Great catch Kevin

Great shot Kevin. I agree with a lot of others, that this is the best Heritage unit yet. It looks clean and well though out. It looks like a paint scheme that would have been put into use because its simple yet elegant. I say find C&NW 8646 and run em together!

Its always so cool to see how they change the original paint just a little bit. Its like, when you first look at it you KNOW its a CNW, but the paint makes it seem more reminiscent. Much better than the old UP 1995

I betcha any money this unit will be seen with the last 2 C&NW unpatched units.

It ran today with 8646 and 8701 on M-PRCB.

Nice shot! I also say this is the best heritage engine yet. It is indeed now running with 8646 and 8701.

This paint scheme is way too busy. It's like CNW on steroids. The Z is way too large. There's more green than yellow on the unit, which CNW never did in its paint schemes. Those grey stripes around everything look ridiculous. The green wraparound on the nose doesn't look right. To top it all off, it's floating on those ridiculous silver trucks. Somebody take the paint gun away!! What a disappointment.

Best Heritage unit yet. UP finally got one right!!!! Looks like it's 17-1 in positive to negative comments, so I would say they nailed this one. Just remember, these units are to pay tribute to the roads, not mimic their schemes exactly. I think the other railroads would be wise to follow UP's lead. Can't wait for the SP unit!!!
