Is the headlight of the 306 on or is just the sun reflecting off at just the right angle?...BTW, nice shot I mean sad shot...I wish I could win the lottery or something...there is just so much HISTORY there!!!

Actually, in response to Lester's comment, DMIR SD-M 306 was retired before CN acquired Great Lakes Transportation. It was included in the deal that sent 3 SD-Ms, 2 SD38ACs, and 2 SD38DCs from the DMIR to LTEX, although one of the SD38ACs was scrapped at Proctor. Be that as it may, it is sad to see so many units awaiting their, most of which will meet the torch. See an awful lot of ex-SP SD45Rs and SD45T-2s, and what appear to be the radiator sections of some ex-WC SD45s. Of course, in the case of the former Espee units, with the exception of the missing parts they look almost the same as they did when they were in service on the Espee.
