Amtrak calls this an SW1000, but it was originally Inland Steel SW9 136. As built, an SW9 was a 12/567, 1200 h.p. locomotive, but the single stack and Amtrak class indicate a derating, and likely an 8/645 oil engine of a factory-built SW1000.
