Another great photo of early seventies passenger railroading. I wasn't alive back then, but was there some law against washing the locomotives?

Thanks for all the nice comments on my photo. It wasn't too log after I took this shot that BN 9736 was retired. I don't know the exact date but the 9736 was not on the BN roster as of January 1975. Amtrak SDP40Fs are only one or two months away.

BN 9736 was Great Northern 367C in Big Sky Blue, originally GN 269A.
